multispeaker performance of The Occultation of 3C 273armley mill, leeds, 1st july 2011.  8 genelecs, courtesy of leeds met experimental media unit (ie paul emery), placed within the old weaving machines this was an 8 channel version of the piece "The Occultation of 3C 273" from the editions mego albim ul8. this features 8 channel, 16 operator frequency modulation synthesis implemented in maxmsp. my friend joe gilmore, a leeds based sound artist, played for about 15 minutes, then we both played for about 10 minutes, then i played for the final 15 minutes. the event was organised as part of i love west leeds festival and the active crossover project. thanks to simon whetham and the staff of armley mill and the i love west leeds festival.
