160 sine waves and 144 pixels

this was the third of three pieces i presented in the algorithm stage at glade 2007. here i created pairs of harmonic tones and colour. each of the 8 speakers played a different tone built up of 20 sine waves. and the 8 pixelline lights made up 144 pixels which displayed colours related to the sound. the system morphed between different sets of harmonic and colour pairs over differing durations. the durations initially were immediate or milliseconds, then seconds, minutes and finally half an hour. the performance lasted 2 hours.
